France sees new low‑cost high‑data mobile plans from Lebara and SFR

Lebara launched a prepaid mobile plan in France that provides 60 GB of data for €6.99 per month, with no contract and a free SIM card. The offer includes unlimited calls and SMS on the SFR 4G/4G+ network, plus a 10 GB roaming allowance usable in Europe and French overseas departments. Lebara positions the plan as offering up to six times more data than competing €6.99 options such as Prixtel’s 10 GB plan, Syma’s 10 GB for €7.99, RED by SFR’s 60 GB for €9.99, and other operators offering only 20 GB at €9.99.

SFR introduced an 80 GB 5G plan that can be purchased for €11.99 per month by customers who already subscribe to an SFR Fibre box, or €17.99 for standard subscribers. The plan also includes unlimited calls, SMS/MMS, and a 10 GB roaming allowance for Europe and DOM. It operates on SFR’s 5G network, which covers around 86 % of the French population, and is offered without a long‑term commitment as part of the SFR Multi programme that links mobile lines to the broadband box.
