France to host XVIII Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe

The Coordinator of Cubans residing in France has announced the XVIII Meeting of Cuban Residents in Europe (ECRE), scheduled for October 23 and 24 in the Île-de-France region.

The event is noted for its historical significance as it coincides with the centenary of the birth of Fidel Castro. According to the announcement, the gathering aims to reaffirm commitments to Cuba and discuss key topics, including the implementation of new laws related to the island's 176 economic transformation measures.

Additional agenda items include discussing the active participation of Cubans living abroad in the country's economic development and the role of youth in preserving cultural roots. This follows the previous ECRE, which was held in Rome, Italy, in October of last year.
