France updates Pass Sport program for 2026-2027 season
The French government has announced updates to the Pass Sport program for the 2026-2027 season. While the financial aid amount will decrease from 70 euros to 50 euros, the eligibility criteria have been expanded to re-include children aged 6 to 13.
Under the new rules, eligibility will no longer be determined by the school start allowance, but rather by a family quotient (CAF or MSA) of less than 700 euros. This change aims to better identify and support low-income families.
Additionally, the Caisse nationale des allocations familiales (CAF) is scheduled to provide a complementary financial payment in the first quarter of 2027 to all beneficiaries aged 6 to 17 who activated their Pass Sport during the autumn 2026 period. The application campaign for the upcoming season is set to run from September 1 to December 31, 2026.
