France women's basketball team finalizes World Cup roster

France women's national basketball coach Jean-Aimé Toupane has finalized the 12-player roster for the upcoming Basketball World Cup in Berlin, scheduled from September 4 to 13, 2026.

The squad was completed on August 29 following training sessions at INSEP, with the addition of Marième Badiane, Romane Bernies, Aminata Gueye, and Migna Touré. These four players join eight previously announced WNBA professionals: Pauline Astier, Valériane Ayayi, Marine Johannès, Leïla Lacan, Carla Leite, Dominique Malonga, Janelle Salaün, and Gabby Williams.

The selection emphasizes continuity from the team's 2024 Paris Olympic silver medal squad. The roster addresses absences in the frontcourt due to maternity leave and injury. France will begin their group stage campaign against Hungary on September 4, followed by matches against South Korea and Nigeria.
