France women's volleyball team wins opening Euro match

The France women's national volleyball team secured a decisive victory in their opening match of the European Championship in Göteborg, Sweden. Facing Slovakia, the French team won in three sets with a score of 25-13, 25-21, and 25-13.

Despite the absence of captain Héléna Cazaute due to a back injury, the team, led by coach Cesar Hernandez, maintained control throughout most of the match. Cyrielle Depie stood out as the top scorer, contributing 15 points to the victory.

France is currently competing in Group D, which also includes Sweden, Montenegro, Croatia, and Italy. To advance to the knockout stages, the team must finish among the top four in their group. Their next scheduled match is against Croatia.
