France's Adrien Rabiot cautions team before Sweden World Cup knockout
France entered the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup after winning all three group‑stage matches in Group I. Midfielder Adrien Rabiot, speaking at a press conference ahead of the round‑of‑16 clash with Sweden, said the Scandinavian side possesses an “important offensive line” with world‑class players in top clubs. He warned that despite France being favoured, the squad will not relax and will treat Sweden with the same respect they gave to Iraq, Senegal and Norway.
Rabiot highlighted the cohesion of France’s midfield, praising teammates Aurélien Tchouaméni and Manuel Koné, and recalled the penalty‑shootout loss to Switzerland at Euro 2020 as a reminder to stay focused. He added that the team is focused, calm and ready to face Sweden.
The match will determine which nation advances to the quarter‑finals.
