France's most beautiful villages now accessible by train

Several of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of France’ are now more accessible via rail travel, offering travelers an eco-friendly way to visit heritage sites across regions such as Val-de-Loire, Dordogne, the Pyrénées, and Alsace.

In the Val-de-Loire, the royal city of Amboise is reachable from Paris via TGV to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps followed by a TER train. Local attractions include the Château Gaillard and Clos Lucé, the former home of Leonardo da Vinci. In the Aveyron gorges, the medieval village of Najac can be accessed by train from Toulouse.

Additionally, hiking routes in the Allier gorges provide views of local railway lines and the Jonchères castle ruins, featuring varied landscapes of meadows and wild areas.
