Frances Tiafoe Pulls Out of DC Open Doubles with Nick Kyrgios

American Frances Tiafoe withdrew from the doubles draw at the Mubadala DC Open after sustaining a right‑wrist injury. The injury forced the highly promoted partnership with Australian Nick Kyrgios, slated to reunite on the John Harris Stadium for the first time in five years, to be cancelled before their opening match.

Lucky‑loser pair Ariel Behar and Anirudh Chandrasekar replaced the duo and will face Francisco Cabral and James Tracy. Tiafoe had already exited the singles competition, losing in the first round to Terence Atmane 6‑4, 3‑6, 4‑6. Kyrgios, who has increasingly focused on doubles this season, will continue his comeback efforts elsewhere.

The withdrawal changes the tournament’s attraction lineup but does not affect the remaining schedule.
