France's Verdon Gorge and Barguillère Trails Offer Tough Hikes

The Tour de la Barguillère route in the Pyrenees begins at Saint‑Pierre‑de‑Rivière and follows the GRP® trail to the Rocher de Batail before looping back via Brassac. Spanning 18.7 miles (30 km) with an ascent of 4,777 ft, the trek is classified as extremely difficult and typically takes about 12 hours and 45 minutes.
