Francesca Barra travels to Bali to honor her late father

Italian journalist and presenter Francesca Barra has traveled to Bali with her husband, Claudio Santamaria, and their daughter, Atena, for a symbolic journey to honor her late father, Francesco Michele.

Following the sudden passing of her father, a former deputy and accountant, in June, Barra shared reflections on social media regarding the trip's purpose. She described the expedition as a way to visit the locations her father had loved and dreamed of throughout his life.

Addressing criticisms of Bali being overly touristy, Barra noted that while certain areas like Seminyak or Canggu experience heavy traffic and commercialism, the island also offers volcanic landscapes, rice fields, forests, temples, and traditional villages.
