Francesca Varela: Argentine actress lands Netflix role

Francesca Varela, a 13-year-old actress from Jujuy, Argentina, has established an early career in international productions. At age 11, she secured a role in the Netflix miniseries ‘Las Maldiciones’, where she portrayed the daughter of a governor.

Varela’s casting process involved five stages, including virtual and in-person auditions. Her work on the series included filming in Susques and La Quiaca, alongside scenes shot in Uruguay and Buenos Aires. During production, she shared scenes with established actors such as Leonardo Sbaraglia and Gustavo Bassani.
