Francesco Cupparo unveils €151 million investment package and commemorates 400‑year relics anniversary in Basilicata

Francesco Cupparo, the regional assessor for economic development in Basilicata, opened a conference marking the fourth centenary of the arrival of the sacred relics of Saints Felice and Policarpo in Francavilla in Sinni. He highlighted the historical, religious and cultural importance of the four‑century celebration, noting traditions such as the symbolic handing of the city’s keys to the patron saints and the role of the relics in community cohesion.

Cupparo also announced a new investment package of more than €151 million aimed at boosting regional enterprises, job creation and sustainable energy. The funding combines EU and national sources (PR FESR‑FSE+, FSC, STEP, POC, etc.) and reallocates resources from ENI‑Total agreements to support water services, renewable‑energy projects and other priority areas, reinforcing the region’s economic competitiveness and social cohesion.
