Francesco Gesualdi, former Marche Film Commission director, dies
Francesco Gesualdi, a prominent Italian cultural manager and former director of the Marche Film Commission, has passed away at the age of 69. He had previously stepped down from his role at the Fondazione Marche Cultura due to health reasons.
Gesualdi held several significant positions within the Italian film industry, including serving as the general manager of Cinecittà holding spa between 1999 and 2003 and working with the Istituto Luce. During his tenure at the Marche Film Commission, which began in 2022, he was credited with increasing the region's visibility and attractiveness to film industry operators on both a national and international scale.
Andrea Agostini, president of the Fondazione Marche Cultura, praised Gesualdi as a “master, a friend, and a precious point of reference,” noting his profound contribution to the cultural and cinematic development of the Marche region.
