Artist Francesco Guadagnuolo has released a new pictorial work that serves as a visual diagnosis of 21st-century crises. The artwork features a man in a gas mask set against a backdrop of detonations, ballistic vectors, and drone constellations, reflecting modern anxieties regarding global warfare and technological tension.

Guadagnuolo, who has served as a Peace Ambassador for the Universal Peace Federation since 2010, uses the piece to explore the concept of a lost future and a humanity trapped in an eternal present. The work utilizes a mixed-media approach, combining oil, enamels, and collage on pressed cardboard. The color palette employs dramatic contrasts, pitting earthy browns against artificial electric blues and ochre tones to mirror the collision between nature and military technology.
