Francesco Pitaro announces candidacy for mayor of Catanzaro

Francesco Pitaro has announced his candidacy for mayor of Catanzaro, supported by the civic movement ‘Catanzaro Punto di Svolta’. Pitaro, a member of the Democratic Party (PD), stated that he accepted the offer to run because the city requires competent individuals to restore its role as a leader within the region.

During an initiative in the Marinaro district, Pitaro outlined development goals for the area, specifically focusing on the port. He aims to transform the unfinished port infrastructure into a functional hub for professional fishing, tourism, and leisure boating, while improving connections to the city center and fostering local commerce.
