Francesco Rocca criticizes Lazio president Claudio Lotito

Francesco Rocca, the President of the Lazio region, has publicly criticized Claudio Lotito, the president of the SS Lazio football club, regarding his communication style and relationship with supporters.

Speaking on Rai Radio Uno, Rocca stated that Lotito’s arrogance has fractured his relationship with fans, noting that the friction extends beyond radical groups to include regular spectators, employees, and lawyers. Rocca urged Lotito to be more respectful and to apologize for his behavior, suggesting that his dismissive attitude toward those who dream of the team's success is unprofessional.

Additionally, Rocca addressed personal tensions, expressing offense at Lotito’s claims that Rocca acts as an “executor” for hidden interests or “mandates.” Rocca noted that while they previously had a good relationship, his repeated recommendations for Lotito to change his communication methods have been met with mockery.
