Alibaba.com's Accio AI reduces e-commerce costs by over 50%
Alibaba.com has announced that its agentic AI platform, Accio, can complete e-commerce tasks at a cost over 50% lower than competitors like OpenAI Codex and Anthropic's Claude Code. In a benchmark involving 107 tasks, Accio's estimated cost was $3.69, significantly lower than the $9.27 and $9.51 costs recorded for Codex and Claude Code, respectively.
Alibaba.com also introduced an expanded version of Accio. This updated platform integrates research, sourcing, and daily operational management into a single AI environment designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The announcement was made during the CoCreate event, which focuses on empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses.
