Francis Alimikhena coronated as Okumagbe of Uwanno Kingdom

Francis Alimikhena, a former two-term senator and former Nigerian Army member, has been coronated as the Okumagbe of Uwanno Kingdom in the Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.

During the ceremony, Alimikhena announced plans to establish the Uwanno Development Fund (UDF) to mobilize resources for the community's advancement. He described the coronation as a “new dawn” and a turning point for the kingdom.

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo attended the event, congratulating the new monarch on his transition from public service to traditional leadership. The governor urged Alimikhena to utilize his extensive experience in governance to foster peace and unity, reminding him of the sacred responsibility to act as a father to all citizens within the kingdom.
