Francis Kurkdjian leads Dior fragrance restoration and new launches

Francis Kurkdjian, the perfume creation director for Dior Beauty, is leading initiatives to restore and expand the Maison’s fragrance collections. As part of the ‘Dioriginals’ project, Kurkdjian has spent four years working with the Dior perfume Creative Studio to restore 13 iconic fragrances to their original profiles. This archival restoration aims to return scents to their authentic aromas by investigating original formulas and addressing changes caused by ingredient availability or legislative shifts.

Additionally, Kurkdjian has introduced Jasmin des Anges Esprit de Parfum as part of La Collection Privée Christian Dior. This high-concentration iteration of the original 2018 scent utilizes Jasmin Grandiflorum sourced from Dior’s heritage partnerships in Grasse, France, and certified ethical growers in Egypt. The new formulation features notes of apricot, strawberry, and peach to create a solar floral bouquet.
