Francisca Lopez Zamora publishes poetry collection honoring her daughter

Author Francisca Lopez Zamora has released ‘Abrazos al alba’, a collection of poetry and prose published by Editorial Círculo Rojo. The work serves as a tribute to her daughter, Alba, following her death in 2023.

The book contains approximately one hundred poems and short stories that explore themes of love, absence, and the process of living through loss. Lopez Zamora, who had been writing personally in notebooks since 2012, transitioned her long-standing writing habit into a formal publication to process her grief. She describes love as the primary force that helps her overcome life's obstacles and survive the loss of a child.
