Franciscan Sisters celebrate 60 years of religious life in Mostar

Six members of the Franciscan School Sisters of Christ the King celebrated their diamond jubilee, marking 60 years of religious life, at the St. Francis Monastery in Bijelo Polje near Mostar on August 30, 2026.

The jubilarians—Sisters M. Brigita Luburić, M. Terezina Zelić, M. Dionizija Šarčević, M. Ruža Hrkać, M. Ivanka Bošnjak, and M. Benedikta Luburić—participated in a solemn Eucharistic celebration led by Fra Mario Knezović. The ceremony included a procession where the sisters carried lit candles as a symbol of devotion and gratitude for their religious calling.

During the homily, Fra Knezović highlighted the sisters' commitment to service, prayer, and sacrifice, noting that their lives serve as a testament to faithfulness and quiet service to others and the Church.
