Francisco Antonio Jiménez Rosario named Rector of UCATECI

The Universidad Católica del Cibao (UCATECI) has announced the appointment of Francisco Antonio Jiménez Rosario as its new rector for a three-year term. The appointment follows the departure of Monsignor Carlos Tomás Morel Diplán, who has transitioned to serve as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Santo Domingo.

The designation was formalized through Decree No. 554 by the Bishopric of the Diocese of La Vega and ratified by the Board of Directors. Jiménez Rosario, a native of La Vega with a doctorate in Theology from the University of Bonn, Germany, previously served as the university's Executive Vice Rector.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, at 4:00 p.m. at the Jesús Maestro University Parish on the main campus.
