The Hemonúcleo of Francisco Beltrão is reporting critically low blood supplies, specifically for the O positive (O+) blood type. In response to this shortage, the Municipal Health Secretariat and the Hemepar network have issued an urgent appeal for residents of Francisco Beltrão and the surrounding Southwest region to schedule blood donations.

Edson Concelier, the Municipal Health Secretary, emphasized the need for community mobilization to reverse the decline in stocks. He noted that blood donations are vital for patients undergoing surgery or recovering from accidents.
