Sorocaba launches week‑long mobile outreach program for health and consumer services

The municipality of Sorocaba announced a schedule of mobile outreach services for the week of 27 – 31 July.

A Veterinary Mobile Clinic will operate at Vila Mineirão (in front of CEI‑76 “Menino Jesus”) offering free preventive check‑ups, advice and basic care for dogs and cats of families enrolled in the federal Cadastro Único with income up to two minimum wages.

The “Médico na Praça” program will bring a mobile medical unit to several neighborhoods: Espaço Motoboy in Praça 9 de Julho (27‑28), the same site on Avenida Itavuvu under the Marcos Jacob viaduct (29‑30) and a location in Cajuru (31), providing free consultations, vital‑sign checks and chronic‑disease screening.

A Procon Mobile unit will provide consumer‑rights assistance, debt‑renegotiation and super‑indebtedness support at four sites: Praça Coronel Fernando Prestes (27), the 51st Employment Fair at Parque Tecnológico (28), and the Terminal São Paulo (29 and 31). All services are free and aim to reach socially vulnerable residents.
