Francisco Céspedes suffers health incident during Mexico City concert
Cuban singer-songwriter Francisco Céspedes experienced a health emergency during a symphonic concert at the Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris in Mexico City on Thursday, October 15.
During his performance, Céspedes reported feeling unwell, stating, “I feel bad, I see stars, I think I am going to vomit.” The artist suffered from dizziness and excessive sweating, which led to a temporary interruption of the show. While he received medical attention, guest performer Rosy Arango continued the set. Céspedes eventually returned to the stage to finish the concert, performing while seated.
On Friday, October 16, his representative, Bárbara Baeza Lara, issued a statement confirming that the singer is stable and out of danger. The discomfort was attributed to a drop in blood pressure. The statement also noted that Céspedes lives with diabetes and had recently returned from an extensive tour in Spain, which may have contributed to the episode due to jet lag and physical exhaustion.
