Francisco “El Chele” Moreno Center celebrates six years of technological innovation

The Francisco “El Chele” Moreno National Center for Innovation and Technology in Nicaragua has marked its sixth anniversary, celebrating its role in fostering a national ecosystem for technology and entrepreneurship. Over the past six years, more than 40,000 participants have engaged with the center's programs.

Alexander Serrano, head of Educational Innovation and Technology at the National Technological Institute (INATEC), noted that the center operates through three primary pillars: the Digital Academy, which provides national and international certifications; the Hackathon Nicaragua platform, which encourages the development of web and mobile applications; and a technology-based entrepreneurship incubation program.

To date, the Hackathon platform has completed ten editions, resulting in the creation of 626 prototypes designed to address challenges in sectors such as health, education, tourism, and agriculture. The anniversary celebrations included technological forums, project demonstrations, and workshops covering artificial intelligence, graphic design, and digital marketing.
