Francisco José Chaux appointed Vice Comptroller General of Colombia

Jorge Eliécer Laverde Vargas, the incoming Comptroller General of Colombia, has appointed lawyer Francisco José Chaux Donado as the new Vice Comptroller General. Chaux Donado, who previously served as a delegate for fiscal responsibility and held various vice-ministerial roles under the Duque administration, will be responsible for leading the transition process between the current and incoming administrations.

Chaux Donado is tasked with coordinating the technical handover, which includes conducting a comprehensive diagnostic of the institution’s financial, budgetary, and technological status. His team will oversee the review of fiscal responsibility processes and identify priority issues to ensure a stable baseline for the new administration's management of public resources.
