Francisco Lindor nominated for Roberto Clemente Award

Francisco Lindor has been named the New York Mets’ nominee for the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award. The honor is presented annually to a Major League Baseball player who demonstrates the community service values of the late Hall of Fame outfielder.

Lindor is one of 30 nominees across the league. The winner will be announced during the World Series following a selection process involving a panel of officials, representatives from MLB, and a fan vote.

In recent on-field action, Lindor led the Mets to a 12-2 victory over the New York Yankees on September 12. Lindor contributed significantly to the win with two home runs, including a grand slam in the eighth inning. Following the game, Lindor praised the team's collective performance and quality at-bats.
