Francisco Pérez Rendiles presents musical videos of his poem in Caracas
Venezuelan writer, poet, and composer Francisco Pérez Rendiles, 89, held a premiere at Villa Planchart in Caracas for two music videos based on his poem “Cuando en ti pienso”. The project merges poetry with music to explore themes of love, youth, and dreams.
The production involved musical producer Nelson Anaya and director José Gregorio Carrillo. The work features two primary versions: a Spanish version performed by Ángel Lizarazo and Sofía Castillo, and an Italian version performed by Talía Zimmermann. A surprise French version was also performed by Florgyneth Pérez during the event.
Pérez Rendiles, who began his poetic career only a decade ago, noted that the fusion of verse and melody transforms silent reading into a shared emotional experience. The official release on YouTube and digital platforms is scheduled for October 31.
