Los Hornos: Police shoot father and son during attempted robbery

A Buenos Aires police officer shot and wounded two men, identified as father and son, during an attempted robbery in Los Hornos. The incident occurred when the suspects, traveling on a motorcycle, approached the officer and threatened him with a firearm to demand his belongings.

In response, the officer issued a command to stop and discharged his service weapon multiple times to repel the attack. The officer was uninjured, but the two suspects fled the scene on their motorcycle. Shortly after, both men arrived at a local medical unit with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

The suspects were identified as 36-year-old José Ezequiel Serrano and his 19-year-old son, Alan Joel Serrano. Both individuals have prior criminal records. The younger man is reported to be in critical condition, while the father is in less severe condition. Investigations are ongoing to determine legal responsibilities.
