Franciszek Blachnicki legacy discussed in Krościenko nad Dunajcem

A three-day meeting titled ‘The Figure of Father Franciszek Blachnicki’ was held in Krościenko nad Dunajcem to discuss the ongoing legacy of the priest and founder of the Światło-Życie movement. Participants, including parliamentarians, historians, and representatives of the movement, examined his historical role and the impact of his work on the Church, families, and social life.

The program addressed both Blachnicki’s religious activities and the actions taken by the PRL-era Security Service against him. During a Mass led by Bishop Krzysztof Włodarczyk, the discussion focused on how Blachnicki’s faith and courage can be applied to contemporary times, emphasizing the importance of discovering one's vocation and trusting in divine providence.
