Franck Kessié targets Al-Ittihad transfer with salary reduction

Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié is reportedly prepared to accept a lower salary to facilitate a transfer to Al-Ittihad, a major rival of his former club, Al-Ahli. Following his departure from Al-Ahli at the end of last season, Kessié is a primary target for the Jeddah-based club as they look to strengthen their midfield.

During his three-year tenure with Al-Ahli, the 29-year-old won three trophies, including two consecutive AFC Champions League Elite titles and the Saudi Super Cup. While Kessié had previously been linked to a return to European football with Juventus, Al-Ittihad has emerged as a strong contender for his signature.
