Franco Colapinto targets Racing Bulls in Singapore GP

Alpine driver Franco Colapinto has identified overtaking Racing Bulls in the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship as a primary objective heading into the Singapore Grand Prix. Currently, Alpine trails Racing Bulls by 22 points, the largest gap between the two teams so far this season.

Colapinto noted that while the A526 car has shown strong recent performance and competitiveness, recent setbacks—including power unit penalties and strategic errors—have hindered the team's ability to capitalize on their pace. Despite losing ground in the last three races, Colapinto expressed confidence in the car's speed and the potential to recover points at the Marina Bay circuit.

The team aims to secure fifth place in the standings, positioning themselves as the best of the teams outside the top four. With the Singapore Grand Prix featuring a sprint race, Colapinto views it as a critical opportunity to regain momentum and close the points gap.
