Franco Mussida introduces new musical training at Cremona Musica

Guitarist and CPM Music Institute founder Franco Mussida presented a new educational approach titled ‘Integral Musical Training’ at the Cremona Musica Expo & Festival 2026. During his session, ‘Music is us and we are not machines,’ Mussida emphasized that music serves as a vital tool for emotional education rather than just a technical discipline.

The methodology, developed by the Milan-based CPM, focuses on the awareness of the effects music produces on both the performer and the listener. Mussida highlighted that certain aspects of sound and the soul can only be communicated through performance. He also noted the importance of Cremona’s historical connection to instrument making, stating that the city’s identity should be kept alive and passed on to future generations through shared musical experiences.
