Franconian dialect Bible expansion follows New Testament success

Following the success of a Franconian translation of the New Testament, which sold approximately 10,000 copies, Pastor Claus Ebeling and a team of volunteers have released the Psalms from the Old Testament in the Franconian dialect.

The new 370-page volume features modern artwork on every page. The release is scheduled to be celebrated with a festive church service in Fürth on Sunday, October 18.

Work is already underway on a third volume, which is expected to include sermons and a literary selection from the Old Testament. Ebeling, who has long advocated for the increased use of dialect within the Evangelical Church, noted that the third volume could reach up to 800 pages.
