Franculino Dju joins Trabzonspor from FC Midtjylland

Trabzonspor has completed the high-profile transfer of 22-year-old forward Franculino Dju from Danish club FC Midtjylland for a reported fee of 17 million euros. The player has signed a 4+1 year contract with the Turkish side.

Midtjylland coach Kristian Kjaer confirmed that Bayern Munich had previously shown interest in the Guinea-Bissau international, with initial contacts occurring as early as last summer. Danish journalist Nicklas Degn described Dju as a “wonderful finisher” and a versatile player capable of playing both as a winger and a center-forward, noting that while a serious injury previously hindered his progress, his high potential remains evident.

Dju is expected to be part of the squad for Trabzonspor’s upcoming Süper Lig match against Gençlerbirliği, though he is likely to start on the bench rather than in the starting eleven.
