Franek Englert chooses music career over acting

Franek Englert, son of Polish actors Maja Ostaszewska and Michał Englert, has decided to pursue a career in music rather than acting. After initially planning to attend drama school, Englert experienced a strong aversion to the idea during his exam preparations. He has opted for a gap year to focus entirely on his musical development.

Performing under the name Englaht, Englert is part of the rap duo Enigma alongside Bartosz Imielski. While acknowledging that his family name provides certain advantages and financial security, he expressed a desire to be judged solely on his own creative merits. He noted that his parents support his musical pursuits both emotionally and financially, treating equipment and production costs as an investment in his future.
