Franjo Ivanović linked with Serie A move to Como

Croatian striker Franjo Ivanović, who missed Croatia’s World Cup squad, is being pursued by Serie A club Como. After a €25 million transfer to Benfica that did not meet expectations – 42 appearances, eight goals and two assists – the 22‑year‑old is exploring a move that could offer more playing time.

Como have opened talks with Benfica and Ivanović’s representatives, while Galatasaray also remain interested. The Italian side appears more appealing to the player at this stage, although no official offer has been made yet. If the transfer materialises, Ivanović would join fellow Croatians Martin Baturina and Ivan Smolčić at Como.

Both clubs are monitoring the situation closely, and further developments are expected in the upcoming weeks.
