Frank Mba launches new law firm in Abuja following police retirement

Retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Frank Mba, has officially launched his law firm, Frank Mba Legal, in Wuse 2, Abuja. The opening ceremony, held on Friday, October 9, 2026, coincided with Mba’s birthday celebration.

Mba, who retired from the Nigeria Police Force in March 2026 after 34 years of service, stated that his transition into private legal practice is an opportunity to continue serving society. He intends to leverage his extensive background in leadership, discipline, conflict management, and the administration of justice to support his new professional role. He described the law as an essential instrument for protecting rights, resolving disputes, and strengthening public confidence in institutions.

The event was attended by several high-profile figures, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; former Inspectors-General of Police Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar and Usman Alkali Baba; and Pastor Jerry Eze. Other notable attendees included Chairman of Chrome Group, Chief Emeka Offor, members of the National Assembly, and various serving and retired senior police officers.
