Frank Rosin cancels test meal due to kitchen fire hazards
In a recent episode of the television program ‘Rosins Restaurants’ on Kabel Eins, chef Frank Rosin was forced to cancel a scheduled test meal at the restaurant Bonitas in Enzberg due to severe safety hazards.
During a kitchen inspection, production team member Florian Kugler identified several critical safety violations. These included an unsecured gas cylinder and a deep fryer positioned next to, rather than under, the exhaust ventilation system. Most significantly, a wooden ceiling above the fryer had become coated in a flammable film of grease, creating a high risk of fire.
Due to these life-threatening conditions, a cooking ban was immediately implemented. Rosin expressed shock at the lack of oversight, noting that the restaurant operators had signed the lease despite these issues. Following the inspection and a confrontation with the owner, Thilo, Rosin ultimately decided that Thilo would no longer have a place in the kitchen.
