Frank Siller honors brother Stephen, a hero FDNY firefighter

Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, has recounted the personal tragedy of losing his brother, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, during the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Stephen Siller was off duty and driving home when he learned the North Tower of the World Trade Center had been struck. He turned his vehicle around, equipped himself with 60 pounds of gear, and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel toward the site. He never returned.

In his new book, ‘Let Us Do Good’, Frank Siller describes the moment he realized his brother was likely gone, following a phone call from a fellow firefighter at Ground Zero. The Tunnels to Towers Foundation was established in Stephen’s honor to provide financial assistance to the families of 9/11 victims, veterans, and first responders.
