Frank Turner announces indefinite touring hiatus after 2027
Singer-songwriter Frank Turner has announced an indefinite hiatus from touring, following his final Lost Evenings festival in 2027. The 44-year-old musician stated that his last live performances will take place during four shows at London’s OVO Arena Wembley from November 4 to November 7, 2027.
Turner cited several reasons for the decision, including the desire to spend more time with family and friends, a need to focus on his physical and mental health, and a wish to explore new creative projects. He also noted the increasing difficulty of the economics of touring and a lack of interest in the social media-driven direction of the modern music industry.
Reflecting on a career that spans 28 years, 10 albums, and over 3,000 shows, Turner expressed a desire to leave the stage “with my head high.” While he is stepping away from live performances “for the foreseeable future,” he did not describe the move as a permanent retirement from the music industry.
