Daniel Dubois prepares for WBO heavyweight title rematch with Fabio Wardley

British boxer Daniel Dubois, the reigning WBO heavyweight champion, is back in training for a second bout with former champion Fabio Wardley. The rematch is expected to take place on 17 October 2026 at the Co‑op Live Arena in Manchester, England, after Wardley exercised his contractual right to an immediate return. Promoter Frank Warren indicated that an official announcement could arrive within the next week.

Wardley, who suffered two early knockdowns in their May 9 fight, plans to adjust his style by using a more active jab, shorter punches and a more selective power‑shot approach. Dubois, who stopped Wardley in the 11th round to claim the title, has begun an early camp to prepare for a potentially more disciplined opponent.
