Frankfurt court fines father for violating contact ban
A father has been ordered to pay a 1,000 euro fine, or serve five days in detention, after violating a court-ordered contact ban in Frankfurt am Main. The incident occurred when the father stopped his car next to his nine-year-old daughter on her way to school and asked for a ‘high five’ through the open window.
Following a separation, the court had granted the father supervised visitation rights but explicitly prohibited any contact outside of these scheduled times. The Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main upheld the decision, rejecting the father's appeal and confirming that the brief interaction constituted a violation of the established visitation regulations.
