Frankfurt customs seize unauthorized medication in kiosk raids

Customs officials in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel have seized approximately 1,600 unauthorized potency tablets during a kiosk inspection. The tablets were reportedly being sold without a prescription and were hidden under the counter and in the kiosk's restrooms.

This follows a similar recent operation by the Darmstadt Main Customs Office in the same district, where officers discovered 1,500 unauthorized tablets and 20 cartons of untaxed cigarettes in a different kiosk. In both instances, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the kiosk operators for suspected violations of the Medicines Act and tax evasion.
