Frankfurt Die Toten Hosen concert endures record 41°C heat

Around 40,000 fans attended Die Toten Hosen’s final show in Hessen at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on a day when temperatures hit about 41 °C, setting a regional heat record. The band, on its farewell tour “Trink aus! Wir müssen gehen,” performed for roughly two and a half hours despite the sweltering conditions. Frontman Campino opened with the line “Willkommen in der heißen Hölle von Frankfurt” and later praised the night as “legendär.”

Organisers kept the stadium roof closed, which sealed in heat, but provided free water fountains and discounted drinks, and the medical team reported fewer incidents than expected. Critics, including the Arbeiter‑Samariter‑Bund, argued the concert should have been postponed for health reasons, yet the event proceeded without major injuries.

The concert featured classic songs such as “Hier kommt Alex,” “Tage wie diese,” and a moving rendition of “Schönen Gruß, auf Wiedersehen,” reinforcing the emotional farewell for fans who may have witnessed their last Die Toten Hosen performance.
