Frankie Muniz sparks controversy with Chevrolet criticism

NASCAR Truck Series driver Frankie Muniz sparked social media controversy after posting a joke criticizing Chevrolet and its customers. In a post on X ahead of a race at Richmond Raceway, Muniz suggested that individuals who test drive a Chevrolet and still choose to purchase one have demonstrated such “catastrophically broken” judgment that they should be stripped of their right to vote.

Muniz, who has been part of the Ford Performance driver pipeline for three years and currently drives a Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing, later clarified that he was trolling. He responded to the subsequent backlash by stating, “I love stirring the pot. It’s funny how many people get so butt hurt that they have to respond.”

Fans reacted to the comments with mixed responses, with some criticizing the driver for making disparaging remarks about a manufacturer in a manufacturer-driven sport, while others engaged in the banter. Muniz finished 30th in the race at Richmond Raceway.
