Franklin Cudjoe joins Ghana's Joint National-UN Steering Committee
Franklin Cudjoe, founding president and CEO of the IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, has been appointed to Ghana’s Joint National‑United Nations Steering Committee (JSC). The JSC is the highest strategic oversight body guiding the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for Ghana for the 2027‑2030 period.
Co‑chaired by Finance Minister Dr Ato Forson and the United Nations Resident Coordinator, the committee brings together senior government officials, UN entities, development partners, the private sector, civil society and minority groups. Its mandate includes overseeing the design and implementation of the Cooperation Framework, reviewing progress, identifying emerging development challenges, strengthening accountability between the Ghanaian government and the UN, mobilising resources and ensuring policy coherence.
The appointment comes as Ghana seeks to consolidate recent macro‑economic gains while addressing structural issues such as limited diversification, youth unemployment, fiscal pressures and climate vulnerability.
