Franklin Graham responds to Billy Crystal's crisis of faith

Evangelist Franklin Graham, president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, has publicly responded to comments made by actor and comedian Billy Crystal regarding his loss of faith.

During an interview on “CBS Sunday Morning,” Crystal stated that he no longer speaks to God, citing a series of personal tragedies in 2025. These events included the loss of his home of 46 years in a wildfire and the deaths of close friends, including filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

Graham addressed Crystal’s remarks on social media, acknowledging that while everyone experiences loss and disappointment, he maintains his trust in God. Graham used the interaction to share his religious beliefs, urging Crystal to put his faith in Jesus Christ and noting that personal decisions regarding faith determine one's eternity.
