Franklin Romero Announces Transformer Installed at Bajo Yuna Substation

Senator Franklin Romero of Duarte province reported that the main transformer for the new electric substation serving the Bajo Yuna area has been installed. Edenorte crews are now fitting 214 distribution poles, about 30 km of medium‑ and low‑voltage lines, 18 additional transformers, 232 streetlights and connecting 486 households to a more reliable grid.

The work is part of the Villa Riva–Arenoso double‑circuit project, which will reinforce power supply along an eight‑kilometre stretch between Villa Riva and the municipality of Arenoso. Romero said the infrastructure will reduce low‑voltage problems, support agricultural production and improve living standards for thousands of families in the region.
